What the labels mean

  • Verified — read from an official record layer (e.g. FEMA flood maps, the National Wetlands Inventory, county assessor data), or confirmed by a person who recorded the source.
  • Likely — inferred from data such as soil surveys, utility service-area maps, road maps or listing text. Useful, but not an official record.
  • Needs a call — no usable data, or only the county or a provider can answer it. The report lists who to call and what to ask.
